It was the part that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) initially conceded to Amarillo Family Television in a $624,000 trade for the permit of Roswell, New Mexico radio broadcast KRIZ (presently KBCQ-FM).

In addition to that, Nexstar Media Group is claimed by NBC member KAMR-TV (channel 4).
