KNOE TV is a dually based Virtual and VHF digital channel which sets on 8 and affiliated by CBS and ABC stations and licensed is issued to Monroe, Louisiana. This CBS TV is performing as a sister channel to KCWL LD which is low-powered and known as channel 40 licensed to Monroe. North of Louisville Avenue in Monroe, the KNOE studios are located and the transmitter of the CBSÂ KNOE is installed in the north of Columbia, Louisiana. In El Dorado, Arkansas a low-powered TV as a translator is being used from the KNOE News which broadcasts the digital signals in High definition transmission.
This translator channel remaps virtually channel 8 through PSIP and starts broadcasting on UHF channel 20. On September 27, 1953, the KNOE TV start its broadcasting and this station was carrying the most powerful tower in South America with a height of 236 meters and 4 tons of weight. In Louisiana, KNOE TV is the oldest television in the North area. During the summer of 1954, the KNOE CBS 8 only competitor KFAZ channel 43 went off-air. Former Governor of Louisiana Mr. James A. Noe owned the station along with KNOE Radio which is presently known as KMVX. KNOE station got affiliation with all four big networks during the golden age of Broadcasting which was CBS, NBC, ABC, and DuMont networks.

In 1950 KNOE is also affiliated with NTA Film Network and start Broadcasting some mixed programs with ABC and CBS. On channel 18 the KNOW station installed a translator station on the top floor of the National Bank Building in El Dorado for serving better services in the area. Prior to the launching of the CBS subchannel from KALB which was the sister station of KLFY and KNOE in 2007, both stations start serving the CBS affiliation programs in the area of Alexandria and Central Louisiana market transferred the station in 1976 to his son before he died and this television keeps with him until 2007 when his son James sold the station to Hoak Media which was originally from Dallas. Gray television announces to buy Hoak Media on November 20, 2013, and they got the market of Monroe and El Dorado Broadcasting. In September 2014 KNOE TV start the transmission of KAQY programs after they went off-air.
