In Lufkin, it starts on a low-power translator which knew as KFXL LD channel 29 and the location of this station transmitter is Northwest of Lufkin near Loop 287. On September 9, 1984, as KLMG TV, the station’s first transmission was broadcast as affiliation with CBS which makes the first full-time television in the market. Clara McLaughlin was the founding owner and first woman which owns a television in the United States after KLMG TV start its national news. After the bankruptcy filing from KLMG ceased its news operation department.
