Wyler was managing the Tri-State Broadcasting and he start KTSM radio transmission of AM in 1930. A tramway was constructed by Wyler for maintenance purposes in Ranger Peak and this tramway was also opened for the general public until 1980. After insurance cost was rising high in Texas for using tramway for other people which do not employ of the channel.
Wyler owned the channel until 1990 and El Paso Community Foundation has donated all the rights after his death. Manager of KVIA-TV which was affiliated with ABC, hired by the foundation to run all operational activities for radio and television. KTSM-TV become the most valuable and prominent television station in the entire market under Pearson’s leadership.
