Radio personalities were carrying television programs about news, sports, and weather segments from the Shott family which was having WBTW ownership. The current transmitter tower of WBTW CBS 13 helps to increase the signal strength to the far North of the Fayetteville and Pinehurst region. In the 1980s and 90s, WBTW was not served by other market-based providers.
