KSNV is a Virtual Channel 3. KSNV TV is an affiliated TV station of NBC and has been licensed by Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America. The Sinclair Broadcast Group is the owner of this station and is part of the monopoly of KVCW (channel 33). It is a dual subsidiary of CW and MyNetworkTV. The two TV stations that share their studios in Las Vegas TV Host Lane, KSNV, and KVCW are the only major TV stations operating within the city in Black Mountain near Henderson.

It is the flagship station of the Intermountain West Communications Company founded by the late James E. Rogers, and began gradually selling the remaining stations in 2013. KSNV TV can be used on Cox Communications Channel 3 in both standard and high definition modes via cable. The station contains various digital channels like five channels having PSIP short names are KSNV-3, ESTRELLA, Charge, Stadium, and My_LVTV.

KSNV NBC 3 News operations:

Now, NBC KSNV broadcasts a total of 42½ hours of locally produced news broadcasts per week (7½hours per weekday, 2½hours on Saturday and Sunday each). The station also broadcasts a local program: a featured sports program at 11:35 on Sunday evening after the news broadcast at 11:00 pm. The public affairs talk show, which was broadcast after the news broadcast at noon on weekdays, was canceled in November 2013.

KSNV also maintained two full-power satellite stations. KVNV Channel 3 on Ely was registered as a KVBC satellite from 2001 until it was sold to PMCM TV, LLC in 2008, while KMCC NBC 34 from its establishment in 2003 to 2005, KSNV NBC 3 was a KVBC satellite until it was sold to Cranston II, LLC in 2005. Regards this, KVBC’s signal has been transmitted through KBMO Channel 9 in Tonopah, Nevada. But the construction of the station was not completed before the FCC construction which is expired in 2002.

Analog to digital conversion:

It closed the analog signal through VHF frequency 3 on date June 12, 2009, and it is the official date for the US high power television station under federal authorization. Prior to the change, the radio station’s digital signal remained on its VHF frequency 2, using PSIP, the digital TV receiver displays the radio station’s virtual channel as its old VHF 3 analog frequency.

As mentioned above, KSNV transmitted its signal to Digital Channel 21, which was previously used by KVMY on November 1, 2014. KSNV is one of the few minutes associated with using frequency 2 for digital broadcasting. In the digital age, low-frequency VHF channels are very sensitive to interference, although the relatively flat areas of southern Nevada and northern Arizona make much less room for the effects of such interference than the region.
