WTVQ ABC 36 started 24 hours local weather channel on 1 December 2005 on its second digital subchannel through cable channel 436. On WTVQ DT2 10 o clock newscast which repeats on weekday newscast that aired on the main channel. Elsewhere it broadcast midnight news including 1:00pm, 6:00pm and 6:30 pm and 11:00pm news. The 10 pm newscast was discontinued and return to WTVQ DT2 on 1 June 2015, which was fixed on My Kentucky TV. It was the last major channel in Lexington to airs their local news in high definition, as well as WTVQ, started an on-air half-hour newscast at 9:00 pm on 2 April 2018.
