On October 2, 1954, KFVS CBS start broadcasting and convert analog signals to frequency 12 of VHF. Oscar C Hirsch which was the broadcasting pioneer was the owner and first area’s radio station. In the beginning channel, 12 did have not any video cameras and were randomly assigned by Herbert Hoover who was the secretary of Commerce. When it first broadcast without having cameras, they just showed slides for their station transmitter tower which was under construction when broadcasting at the time.

At the time of 1979, AFLAC bought the station from Hirsch but after many years of awaiting family get up their old station in 1985. Overlapping the signals with sister stations in Tennessee and Kait while broadcasting analog signals.
