Analog signals by UHF frequency 28 were launched for its broadcasting transmission service on May 1, 1988. Raycom Media bought the WPGX FOX 28 from Waitt Media in 2003. SunTrust Bank building was shared with WPGX in the same old place on Laverne Avenue in Panama City. Under the commandment and supervision of Raycom, channel 28 launched its own website in May 2010. On June 25, 2018, Raycom decided to sell out entire assets in the market to Gray television which already had the WJHG-TV channel 7.
