On May 6, 1956, the station starts its broadcasting operations as WRGP-TV on analog channel 3. Ramon G Patterson was the owner of WRGP and channel call letters were kept from his name first alphabetical letters. The NBC affiliation was taken from WROM-TV which was doing its transmission services in the area of Rome, Georgia.

Retro Television Network was added as a digital subchannel of WRCB on November 1, 2008, and Antenna Tv was later the WRCB subchannel in 2012.
