WTNZ TV is a virtual channel 43 which is affiliates with Fox TV station, licensed by Knoxville, Tennessee, United States of America. Lockwood Broadcasting Group is the owner of this station and is part of a duopoly with independent radio station WKNX TV. In the Sharp Ridge in North Knoxville, WTNZ TV’s transmitter is located. Through the cable, the station can be used on Channel 11 of Charter Spectrum.

WTNZ Fox News operations:

In the middle of the 1980s, it generated a news break every day called WKCH news. The brief news and weather updates were hosted by Phil Rainey, an announcer on the site’s staff. In 1998, a news-sharing agreement was established with local CBS radio station WVLT, which resulted in prime-time news broadcast on WTNZ under the title Fox 43 Ten O’clock News. The show originated from the WVLT studio off Papermill Road in West Knoxville. Liz Tedone, Patrick McMurtry, Nick Paranjape, and Craig Edwards hosted news, weather, and sports.

In 2011, WTNZ added a two-hour weekday morning show from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. that called Fox 43 News. Further, the news in primetime on the weekends expanded from 10 a.m. to an hour.

In April 2017, “Fox 43 News” became the only local news in the Knoxville market at 6:30 for the first time during this period. Now all shows originate from the WBIR facility on Hutchinson Avenue in the Lincoln Park area of Knoxville (the official address is Bill Williams Avenue).
