WTVY constructed its new transmitter tower having an elevation of 368 meters five miles away from East of Dothan. In Alabama state, the WTVY transmitter tower was the highest elevated structure for transmitting signals. 24 hours broadcasting was provided from WTVY across entire states of the country. The current transmitter tower of WTVY is having 563 meters above the ground in Bethlehem south of Dothan which was inaugurated in 1978. The strobe warning light of the transmitter tower can be watched 80 km away from the Florida states which helps to maintain channel 4 signals coverage and better transmission results.

CBS affiliation was carrying from WTVY as Default network from 1961 in the Gulf Coast region of Florida. North of Montgomery and West of Fort Walton Beach was having B grade signal coverage from WTVY CBS 4. Two floors of Houston Hotel were acquired from WTVY for its operational activities in downtown Dothan which are famously known as Woods Building and this move happened in 1993. A microwave antenna was installed on top of the hotel building instead of constructed a small tower. Charles Woods which was presidential nominated bought the WTVY with his broadcasting company name as Woods Communications. This group was already acquired the WCOV-TV and WDFX television networks.
